FXHome Ignite Pro, developed by SFX-specialist FXHome, is a comprehensive collection of high quality video effects and tools all available as plug-ins within EDIUS. The more than 160 EDIUS compatible effects include customizable lens- and light flares, tools for keying, compositing and color grading as well as excellent video filters. Almost all of the more than 550 effects, presets and tools are key frame controllable.

Please see our demo video featuring a variety of those effects.

A more thorough explanation of anamorphic optics can be found on this article I wrote, Guide to Anamorphic Lenses and Adapters. Now, some of you may ask, 'why go through all that trouble to acquire special lenses for this aspect ratio when one could simply crop the common 16:9 (1.78:1) aspect ratio to a wider 2.4:1 ratio?' Read on! Ignite Pro gives you 190 professional plugins to fire up After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or any other major host. Experiment with over 565 visual effects, presets, and the industry's best suite of 360° filters. No strings attached. Up 3 5 – the instagram uploader. HitFilm Pro already contains Ignite plugins.

Here we show you further filters, that were added in 2017:

Sweet horizontal flares and that wide screen, letterboxes look. It's 1.33x design brings the organic look and character of 2:4:1. It's like shooting a wider focal length in the horizontal direction and a longer focal length in the vertical.

We have also produced an EDIUS podcast showing HitFilm Ignite filters together with EDIUS.

Ignite was originally developed as a collection of effects to be used with HitFilm. Very soon HitFilm became known as a very powerful and cost saving alternative for compositing solutions like After Effects. In the course of time more and more applications were supported. Currently Ignite supports the following programs: Grass Valley EDIUS, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Apple Final Cut Pro X, Apple Motion, Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve, Vegas Pro, Sony Catalyst Edit, NUKE by The Foundry.

Thankfully HitFilm choose not to bring separate versions to the market. You can instead use Ignite with different programs at the same time. So you may work with solutions like EDIUS, After Effects and Resolve on one computer and only one license of Ignite. This is an important, cost saving argument if you do work with several programs or maybe plan to switch to another solution in the future.

The license terms are very user-friendly as well as they allow Ignite to be installed on up to three computers. Before purchase you may of course test the trial version free of charge which can be turned into a full version by just entering the serial number. Here you find the download link to the trial version.

Try out Ignite and see how the effects enhance your footage. You will be amazed!

It would just be impossible to demonstrate all effects in this summary, because many of the over 160 plug-ins contain multiple presets and variations. Let us therefore point out some of the effects and tools we have featured in the demo video.

Color-Vibrance: if you shoot under water or against backlight your images may appear flat. The „Color-Vibrance-Filter' restores contrast und color and brings back life into your pictures without introducing artefacts. You determine the intensity and keep full control over your image. This also works great to add color to greyscale, procedural effects such as particles and textures. In this example we combined the filters „Vibrance' and „Color-Vibrance'.
Auto-Levels: Ignite itself determines the optimal settings for the individual picture. Whenever your image does somehow not look as vivid like intended, then 'Auto-Levels' intensifies the looks. Here we additionally applied the 'Glow-Effect' to add a little bit of vacation mood to the scene.
Channel-Time-Shift: Ignite gives you separate access to the three RGB channels. You probably know this look from current video clips. With this effect you divide your image into its basic colors and manipulate them in time. So you may move the red, green and blue channel backwards or forwards individually.
Auto Volumetrics: This is a fascinating light effect that will enhance your footage with dynamic light rays adding even more depth to your scene. This effect is especially powerful if you have objects located in the foreground and background.
Animation/Compositing: For complex compositings you usually apply specialized solution like HitFilm. But maybe your scene just requires a few animated objects like flashes or laser beams? We have setup both in this compositing of the Golden Gate Bridge. You will be amazed how quickly and easily this can be done. A vignette, customizable in nearly every aspect as well, rounds up the composition.
Cine Style: Is it really possible to achieve a high end look by the push of a button? See for yourself! The 'Cine Style'-effect does look beautiful. The picture itself can easily be moved vertically to achieve an optimal framing. The grading and the appearance of the vignette can also be modified as you like. You may even add some film grain. And of course, you cannot only customize grain, vignette und the letterbox look - you can of course deselect each effect just as well.
Rain on Glass: Another example for the high quality of the Ignite effects. Would you have thought that those raindrops are generated by Ignite? And you free to choose how hard it is going to rain!
Lens-Flares / Anamorphic Lens Flare: Lens-flares belong to the most popular movie effects during recent (cinema)-years. Ignite offers a wide variety of those effects. Among them you even find an Anamorphic-Lens-Flare-effect simulating the very popular flare behavior of an anamorphic lens. You can customize the intensity of the rays and adapt the effect perfectly to your scene.
Light Flares: Light Flares allow you to enhance your scene with animated lights sources and their reflections. Like in this example of Pier 39 where there was actually no sun to be seen when we shot the scene. You may fine tune every detail of the light flares settings. By choosing the desired focal length of the simulated lens you determine the character of the reflection.
Chroma Key: FXHome is also known for a green screen keyer of exceptional quality: PhotoKey 7 Pro. As the name implies this product has been developed to work on still pictures. Therefore we are even more excited about the quality of the keyer that FXHome included with Ignite! In almost no time you achieve convincing keying results even with semitransparent objects.
ProSkin Retouch: Along with the introduction of HD a not so perfect makeup or small skin problems have become quite visible on the screen. This issue grows even larger with 4K. To overcome those problems Ignite developed the plugin ProSkin Retouch. The skin tone is automatically detected allowing a digital make up. This way skin problems are easily solved and removed from view. This plug-in is a valuable tool to help with keying issues as well. Keying often leads to an unnatural color of the skin. Color correction needs to be applied which can be time consuming and bothersome. ProSkin Retouch restores the natural skin tone fast and easily. Once you have tried this tool, you will never want to be without it anymore.
Day For Night: Night scenes for big movie productions are often being shot during daytime. To get the looks right in postproduction a lot of tweaking needs to be done. Ignite's Day For Night effect achieves a perfect illusion in almost no time with just a few clicks. This is another example for the high quality look which is typical for all Ignite effects.
Glow: If your shot consists of high contrast scenes, then this effect will add a magical glow. Setting keyframes you can seamlessly control the glow intensity and adapt to any changes in your scene.
Timecode: There are occasions when you like to superimpose a timecode on your scene to visualize progress in time? Or maybe you temporally like to print out a version of your video to be able to discuss scenes with your customers referring to a timecode position? Ignite gives you the choice and lets you place timecode at any position in any size you like.
Reflection: The Reflection effect mirrors your image at any desired position and axis. By animating those parameters you are able to achieve very dynamic and surreal effects.
Blur-Videofilter: We know of no other blur filter of this quality. The Ignite Blur filter simulates the „focus/out of focus' effect of a real lens in a very realistic manner. With our shot of Alcatraz (which is originally sharp) we applied this effect – doesn't this look real? Setting keyframes you may animate the degree of being in or out of focus as you wish.
Magnify: The Magnify effect works just like a magnifying glass that you can position anywhere on your screen in any desired size. This is an ideal effect to guide your audience to concentrate on a certain region of your image.
Color Temperature: The sunset does not look as warm as you wished because maybe your camera's white balance was set to auto? Ignite lets you set the Color Temperature as you like and create the perfect mood fast and easy.

This was just a small number of the over 160 plug-in effects available for EDIUS.

Anamorphic Pro 2 1 – Professional Lens Blur Tool Download Windows 10

On this milestone day we celebrate the evolution that brought us here, from the first use of Photoshop (before Photoshop 1.0) to create visual effects for James Cameron's movie, The Abyss … to the invention of the healing brush in Photoshop CS2 … to the wizardry of Content-Aware Fill … and all the amazing innovation in between. In 2016 we introduced Sensei AI and machine learning magic, resulting in many even more fantastic features including Select Subject, with of course much more to come. In 2019, Photoshop won an Academy Award, and we expanded it to new devices like the iPad.

We honor our long-standing collaboration of artists and engineers, where working together and with your feedback and inspiration we have built a tool that enables you to make the world a more beautiful place.

In celebration of this birthday, today we also release many great new features in both versions of Photoshop – on the desktop and on the iPad. Happy birthday, Photoshop! We will keep the magic rolling.

Content-Aware Fill Workspace Improvements

Now you can make multiple selections and apply multiple fills without leaving the workspace. Use the new 'apply' button to iterate your fills before committing. Click 'OK' only when you are finished. In this release we've addressed a big customer request to sample all layers in the CAF workspace. These workflow enhancements are designed to reduce clicks, give you more control, and speed you to great results.

The most magical secrets of how Content-Aware Fill works are locked in a vault deep inside Adobe so I can't tell you a lot about that. But I talked with the research scientists behind the feature to understand their approach to what we added today. A few releases ago we packaged all the CAF capabilities into a workspace. Since then we've worked closely with customers to further improve it, using customer-supplied images to ensure we solve your real-world problems. One of your top requests was to stay in the workspace to refine fills that need multiple CAF iterations – imagine removing something from behind many tree branches, or other tricky scenes with visual diversity. To do that, we now enable you to break the fill region into sub-parts to give you more iterative control to achieve a more realistic fill.

Lens Blur improvements

We've improved the output quality and performance of Lens Blur and put it on the GPU. This significantly improves the overall realism, including the sharpness and edges when using Lens Blur to synthetically blur the foreground, background or even the middle of an image.

The feature also now delivers more colorful bokeh via the specular highlights. This produces more realistic and pleasing results.

It's a little boggling to me how we can add such realistic blur to a 2D image after capture. So I talked with one of our research scientists to get an idea of how the new and improved, GPU-driven Lens Blur works. The results are created by an algorithm the team built by studying the first principles of physics and how light interacts with objects in the real world. It is carefully tuned to simulate a 3D environment to create the most realistic results possible, while also consuming the least amount of compute power so you don't burn up your machine. Lots of research and iteration occurred to make the feature. Several PhDs were involved. And now you can synthetically adjust the depth of field by dynamically manipulating the blur of a 2D image after capture in milliseconds.

Mac OS Dark UI support

Dark UI has been one of the more popular features of the Catalina Mac OS. Photoshop now supports the new dark mode. System dialogs like File>Open and File>Save now match the settings of your Mac OS.

If you have dark UI enabled, system dialogs will also be dark.

Performance improvements

You'll discover some key performance improvements with a more buttery and seamless mousing experience. Clicking interactions like panning and zooming will feel smoother and more responsive. You'll notice the biggest boosts on larger documents and when using the hand tool to zip around the canvas.

If you want to geek out, for stylus customers on Windows, you no longer need to use WinTab (you know who you are).

Photoshop on the iPad

Reminder: Photoshop on the iPad is included in all Creative Cloud plans that include Photoshop. If you are already a member, all you have to do to get started is download Photoshop on the iPad and sign in.

We promised you a continuous stream of new features in the iPad version of Photoshop and today we release a fresh batch.

This is a major release for Photoshop on the iPad. With the addition of the Object Selection tool, selections on the iPad takes a huge leap forward beyond anything available in any other apps on the device before today. Check out the video above by our own Russell Preston Brown that shows the power of this new feature. And, give it a try!

Photoshop on the iPad is built using the same code base as Photoshop on the desktop. As you can see from the multiple releases we've delivered since we shipped the first version just three months ago, we are able to add new features with deep and rich capabilities and high quality output that matches that of the desktop very quickly. We are shipping these new capabilities as soon as the user experience has been adapted to the iPad and reimagined to take advantage of touch and mobility.

Object Selection tool

Anamorphic

This feature was just released in Photoshop on the desktop at MAX 2019, three months ago. On the iPad we give you the same functions, with the same options and settings.

We're hearing from customers that Photoshop on the iPad 'helps them get closer to the pixels.' This feature is a great example of that, where the experience really shines in a touch environment when using the Apple Pencil. I encourage you to try it out.

Here's a primer on how the new Object Selection tool relates to the Select Subject tool (which was released on the iPad in December). Both features are now in Photoshop on desktop and iPad. Both use Sensei AI and machine learning to automatically make a great selection. They each radically reduce the steps to results and each is tuned for common, but different use cases.

Select Subject finds and selects the main subject in your image with one click with no input or guidance from you. This is best used when you have one primary object you want to quickly isolate.

The Object Selection tool is designed to give you speed, but also more control over the selection process on more complex images. For example, it is the right tool if you have images with multiple objects, or when selecting a part of an object, or if you want this part but not that part, or need to isolate more than one object in an image. With the Object Selection tool, you draw a rectangular region or even a crude lasso around the area you want to select, and the tool automatically finds and selects the primary objects inside the defined region. This is demonstrated in the video at the top of the iPad section, where we have a selection that requires getting this part but not that part of the oranges.

Here's another example using a fairly complex scene and background.

I drew a rough lasso around the woman. You can see how the marching ants snapped to her outline.

By pressing 'F' on the keyboard, I can scroll through different views of the selection to ensure I have what I want. For this image, the red background works best.

I then circled the man's glasses to add those to the selection with one quick stroke using the Lasso tool, and then added the guitar … you get the idea. Download securityspy 4 2 1. It was super easy and I had what I wanted in just a few seconds.

Type settings

Type settings in this release brings many of the typographic controls you use in Photoshop on the desktop to the iPad. We added type layer, character and options properties. This includes tracking, leading, scaling, and formatting things like all/small caps, super/subscript. Kerning will ship in a future release.

How to give input on the iPad roadmap

We are so happy to get Photoshop on the iPad into your hands! Your experience, feedback and point of view have always been a critical part of our process, and we take that very seriously as we chart a path forward with the iPad. Please join our community forum to give feedback on what you would like to see in the future: feedback.photoshop.com. We look forward to your thoughts.

Cloud documents

In December we began rolling out major performance improvements to the upload and download experience of cloud documents for PSDs of 75mb and larger. On January 14, we expanded the improvements to apply to PSDs of 10MB or larger. Depending on the size of your file and your network performance, you can see up to 90% faster uploads and downloads with these updates.
